Kill Tony has become YouTube’s top podcast thanks to Adam Ray’s newest persona, mimicking the show’s host, Tony Hinchcliffe.

Comedian Adam Ray has made a name for himself impersonating popular celebrities and politicians and is a regular on Kill Tony.

His most famous impression is that of Dr Phil, and he started performing comedy routines as the talk show host in 2019.

On July 7, however, Ray opted to do something new and opened Kill Tony dressed as Tony Hinchcliffe and absolutely nailed the host’s mannerisms in one of his best acts yet.

His performance was so good, it, along with guests Ari Shaffir and Mark Normand, propelled the podcast to the top of YouTube’s charts and took Joe Rogan off the throne.

Adam Ray’s Tony Hinchcliffe parody knocks Joe Rogan from YouTube’s top spot

YouTube’s podcast charts, which are updated weekly, have Kill Tony placed as the top spot in the US, knocking Rogan down to second.

In third place is The MeidasTouch Podcast, followed by 48 Hours, The Why Files: Operation Podcast (All of ‘Em), The Diary Of A CEO, Shawn Ryan Show, The Tucker Carlson Show, Smosh Reads Reddit Stories, and Rotten Mango rounding out the top 10.

At the time of writing, KT #726 is the 26th most-viewed episode of the podcast in its history. The show has new episodes every week, and only recently broke its 12-year streak because it held a Netflix special.

Adam Ray’s Tony impression was a massive hit, nailing Hinchcliffe’s laugh, catchphrases, facial expressions, and other mannerisms.

His impressions have made a huge impact on both the comedy world and Kill Tony.

In 2024, Ray performed as Joe Biden on Kill Tony and appeared alongside Shane Gillis, who was dressed as Donald Trump, in what became the show’s most popular episode of all time.

His Dr Phil impression even landed him his own ‘Dr Phil Live’ Netflix comedy show, where he came face to face with the real Dr Phil himself.
