Kim Kardashian says she’s just two weeks away from becoming a certified attorney, and she’s already looking to leave fame behind.
The reality TV star revealed during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show that she hopes to shift her focus toward life in the courtroom and “give up being Kim K” within the next decade. The 45-year-old SKIMS founder told Norton she expects to receive her bar exam results soon, marking the end of her six-year journey through California’s Law Office Study Program.
“I will be qualified in two weeks,” Kardashian said. “I hope to practice law. Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want.”

Kardashian first began her legal apprenticeship in 2018, inspired by her work on criminal justice reform cases. She passed the “baby bar” exam in 2021 and completed over 5,000 hours of legal study while managing her businesses and raising four children. The upcoming certification would make her eligible to officially practice law in California, pending the final bar results.
Alongside her legal ambitions, Kardashian continues to branch out in entertainment. She’s set to star opposite Sarah Paulson in the upcoming legal drama All’s Fair, which began filming earlier this year. Paulson praised Kardashian’s work ethic during the show’s taping, saying she made her “feel like a slacker” while juggling filming, business, and her studies.
Kardashian has spoken previously about wanting to open her own law firm and dedicate more time to advocacy work. If she passes her bar exam, it would mark a major milestone in that plan, and could signal the beginning of an entirely new chapter for one of the world’s most famous celebrities.
