British YouTube star LDShadowLady has welcomed her first child, sending fans into a tizzy and leaving them shocked that one of the creators they grew up with is starting a family.
LDShadowLady first started her YouTube channel in 2010. In the decade-and-a-half since then, she’s gone on to accrue over 7.4 million subscribers who tune in for her Minecraft and Sims gameplay videos.
She’s mostly known for sharing her adventures in Minecraft survival multiplayer servers, uploading lengthy videos once or twice a month. Lately, her activity on YouTube became a bit more sporadic — but there was a good reason for that.
LDShadowLady surprises internet with newborn daughter
On August 5, 2025, LDShadowLady shocked fans by revealing that she’d welcomed her very first child, a baby girl, in a post on Instagram.
The YouTuber shared a photo of herself cuddling her newborn with her husband, fellow YouTuber ‘SmallishBeans.’
The couple tied the knot in August 2022 and now, three years later, they’re expanding their family, much to the surprise of their fanbase.
Commenters across the internet were left stunned that ShadowLady had a baby, with many remarking how they’d watched her throughout their childhood and young adulthood.
“She was pregnant??” one exclaimed.
“My childhood has never been more complete, you’ll both be such wonderful parents to your beautiful girl,” another said.
“They raised millions of kids, and now they’re raising their own,” another remarked.
LDShadowLady is 32 years old, and she was 17 when she first started her adventures on YouTube. In the years since then, she’s become an undisputed icon in the Minecraft space, even lending her voice to the game’s official story mode along with five other creators.
Her long-form Minecraft video series ‘Shadowcraft’ launched her into the public eye in a major way, and since then, she’s accrued millions of followers across multiple social media platforms.
