LEGO has revealed its next collaboration with Nintendo: a 1:1 scale model of the original Game Boy, and you can pre-order it right now.
LEGO and Nintendo are teaming up once again, this time to bring one of the most iconic handheld consoles of all time into brick form. The original Game Boy is getting a full 1:1 LEGO replica, complete with cartridges, swappable screens, and functional buttons. First announced on January 9, 2025, the set will ship on October 1 and is already available for pre-order.
Priced at $59.99 USD (£54.99/€59.99), the LEGO Game Boy joins a growing lineup of nostalgia-driven sets aimed at adult fans of retro gaming. It also arrives alongside other standout releases this year, including LEGO’s first-ever Godzilla build and the long-awaited Wallace & Gromit set, both of which received huge backings from LEGO enthusiasts.
Lego Game Boy pre-orders are now live
The 421-piece LEGO Game Boy recreates Nintendo’s iconic handheld console in stunning detail. It includes brick-built versions of Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, both of which can be inserted into a working cartridge slot.
Builders can also swap between three lenticular screens showing the classic boot-up logo or gameplay from either title. Every major physical feature is faithfully reproduced, from the A and B buttons to the volume dial and contrast wheel. The set also uses printed tiles instead of stickers, preserving its authentic look and feel.
