LEGO has revealed a new addition to its adult-focused Icons lineup with a Project Hail Mary spacecraft set inspired by the sci-fi film adaptation of Andy Weir’s novel.

The 830 piece build is now available to preorder for $99.99 and is scheduled to ship beginning March 1, 2026, according to LEGO’s official product listing.

The microscale model recreates the Hail Mary ship and is designed as a display piece, complete with a rotating mechanism that simulates the craft’s centrifugal gravity system. Builders can also add minifigures of Ryland Grace and Rocky to the base, along with a functional stand for desk or shelf setups.

The set carries an 18-plus age rating and includes support for the LEGO Builder app, which allows users to rotate the model in 3D, track progress, and follow digital instructions throughout the build.

LEGO says the Project Hail Mary set includes everything needed to assemble a scaled replica of the spacecraft, along with the crank-operated stand that sends the crew module into orbit. The company lists the model as measuring more than 12 inches tall, 9.5 inches long, and 8.5 inches wide once completed.

In addition to the ship itself, the kit comes with a Ryland Grace minifigure and a Rocky figure, reflecting key characters from the story. LEGO positions the set as part of its Icons range for adults, which focuses on display-oriented builds rather than play-focused construction.

The product page also highlights the set as a potential gift option for science fiction fans, with LEGO emphasizing its suitability for home or office decor. The Project Hail Mary build joins LEGO’s broader Icons collection, which includes other large-scale and display-driven models sold separately.

Project Hail Mary is based on Andy Weir’s 2021 science fiction novel, which became a bestseller following its release and was widely discussed for its survival-focused space narrative.
