Rapper Lil Yachty is facing backlash after appearing to reveal a $99 subscription to a cheat service that provides wall hacks, aimbots, and other nefarious tools.

On August 13, during Plaqueboymax’s Twitch stream, Lil Yachty was showing off his recent payments, flexing a $16,000 purchase from luxury brand Chrome Hearts.

After putting his phone near the camera, viewers could see many of his latest transactions, and while he intended to show off his Chrome Hearts swag, something above it caught the internet’s eye.

Clear as day, a $99 “Ring-1” purchase was visible, immediately raising red flags for anyone familiar with cheating software for games like Rainbow 6.

Across different gaming and streaming communities, clips from the stream spread, setting off alarm bells.

“Lil Yachty accidentally [showed a] possible cheat purchase on stream. Lil Yachty famously participated in the E3 2019 ‘Rainbow Six Siege: Lil Yachty & T-Pain Celebrity Showdown’ charity event,” one player noted in the Rainbow 6 subreddit.

“Could be a coincidence, but I just wanted to point it out and see if anyone has any feedback regarding this situation.”

The subscription cheat service in question works for games such as Overwatch, Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, Tarkov, and more.

It provides tools such as aimbots and wall hacks and there doesn’t seem to be another company also named Ring-1. Dexerto also found a site selling a monthly subscription service for $99, exactly the same amount Lil Yachty paid.

Viewers were quite put off by the rapper’s subscription.

“I’m only joking a little when I say cheating in competitive online games should get you jail time,” one remarked – a sentiment many streamers share.

“Bro that’s so lame. He just lost street cred for being a cheater,” another blasted.

So far, Lil Yachty hasn’t addressed the incident, but this is far from the only cheating drama to go viral in August.
