The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex may win the award for the longest gaming mouse name ever, but is it worth buying?

When it comes to competitive gaming mice, few are more iconic than the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. The company has continued to update it with new hardware since its release in 2016, but the shape has remained unchanged.

That is, until the Superlight 2 Dex was released with a massive shape change that sets it apart from other Logitech mice.

Design & Features

The G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex marks the first time we’ve seen Logitech take the iconic shape from its Superlight mouse and give it a bit of ergonomic comfort.

With that, though, left-handers lose the ability to use the mouse comfortably. Instead of the sleek and slim shape that makes it easy to use in either hand, it is a bit taller and wider with a curve designed for right-handed users.

At 60 grams, it’s feather-light, making flicks and quick directional changes effortless. The matte coating holds up well under sweaty conditions, and Logitech includes grip tape for those who prefer added texture. Despite its weight, the build is solid, with no flex or rattle during testing. The larger frame on the G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex makes it perfect for those with bigger hands, avoiding the cramping that can come with smaller mice.

The HERO 2 sensor delivers flawless tracking across the entire DPI range. In fast shooters like Call of Duty: Warzone and Battlefield 6, movement felt consistent with no acceleration or smoothing. The 8,000 Hz polling rate is the standout feature, as it helps the mouse respond quicker than ever. While not every player will notice the difference in casual matches, the added responsiveness can matter for pros where milliseconds count.

The Lightforce switches also make an impact. They combine the speed of optical actuation with the tactile feel of mechanical clicks, delivering sharp and reliable feedback. In-game, inputs felt immediate with no double clicks or any other issues.

The battery is great on the G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex, too. Logitech rates it at 95 hours of constant movement, and it doesn’t have any RGB to hinder that. Testing showed the mouse lasting through multiple weeks of regular play before needing a charge.

Software

Like all of Logitech’s modern peripherals, the mouse is supported by G Hub software. It offers DPI tuning, polling rate adjustment, button remapping, and onboard profile storage. While G Hub still has its quirks, the essentials are straightforward and responsive.

Logitech should consider a web-based configuration setup. Most smaller brands have adopted it, and not having a standalone software installed on your computer both frees up system resources and offers a better experience overall.

Verdict

The Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex delivers top-tier performance with a redesigned shape, ultra-light build, and fast polling rate. It offers strong battery life, reliable switches, and precise tracking.
