Black Ops 7’s integration with Warzone is set to bring some major loadout changes that will alter how players approach their builds.
A new Call of Duty game doesn’t just mean a new chapter for multiplayer; it also brings a new era of Warzone. As always, Black Ops 7 will integrate with the Season 1 update, bringing over all of its weapons and Operators, as well as the Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map.
The devs are also using this as an opportunity to make some significant adjustments to how the battle royale works, and they’ve just announced some major changes to loadouts.
Wildcards removed from Warzone in BO7 Season 1
At CoD Next, the devs confirmed that once Season 1 goes live, all Wildcards will be removed from Warzone. These powerful loadout options were added to the BR for the first time in BO6, and although they’re in Black Ops 7 multiplayer, Warzone will no longer include them.
This is set to have a major impact across the board, the biggest being that you will only be able to use a maximum of five attachments on your weapons. This has always been the limit by default, but many players like to use the Gunfighter Wildcard to equip eight.
In some cases, this would allow guns that are outside the meta to compete, as they could benefit from three additional attachments. However, once BO7 integration takes place, this won’t be an option anymore.
Overkill, which lets you bring along a second primary weapon, was also tied to a Wildcard during the BO6 era. But don’t worry, going forward, it will be enabled automatically, allowing everyone to equip two weapons at once without sacrificing a Perk slot.
