Dr Disrespect has been publicly shut down by the developers behind Marathon after implying he was partnered with the game for its launch.

The streamer sparked confusion on February 25 when he suggested he had an official collaboration tied to Bungie’s upcoming shooter, using the hashtag “#marathonpartner” in a post teasing a reveal.

Now, the Marathon development team has directly denied any partnership.

Dr Disrespect lies about being official partner yet again

On February 25, Dr Disrespect posted on X: “Just finished our photoshoot for tomorrow and the team sent me a sneak peek. Tomorrow is going to be CINEMA. DROPS ON #marathonpartner.”

The post featured an edited image of the streamer inside what appeared to be a stylized production shot, leading some fans to question whether he had secured an official deal with Bungie for the game’s launch.

Forbes journalist Paul Tassi responded publicly in a quote retweet, writing: “Is this a real Bungie partnership or is he making it up again?”

Shortly after, the official Marathon Development Team account replied directly to Tassi, stating: “He’s not partnered.”

The clarification comes weeks after Dr Disrespect previously suggested he had attended a creator event for the game Highguard, which was quickly denied by the game’s community manager in a post on X.
