YouTube star Markiplier has finally tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Amy Nelson after ten years together. This news follows rumors the two were quietly engaged back in February 2025.
Mark ‘Markiplier‘ Fischbach is one of YouTube’s most popular gaming-focused content creators. For the last ten years, he’s been dating Amy ‘Peebles’ Nelson, first going public in June 2016 when they posed for a photo together at VidCon that year.
While Amy kept a relatively low profile compared to Mark, she would occasionally show up in his content from time to time. The two lived together and owned two dogs, but were generally quiet about the future of their relationship in terms of engagement and marriage.
That is, until February 2025, when eagle-eyed fans spotted the pair wearing what seemed to be engagement rings on their ring fingers in separate posts on social media. Neither party spoke out about the speculation, and it seemed like a one-off, slightly parasocial moment from Mark’s fanbase… but it turns out that they may have actually been right all along.
Markiplier finally ties the knot with Amy Nelson
On October 7, 2025, Markiplier posted a series of photos from his and Amy’s wedding on Instagram, confirming that they had officially tied the knot a couple of weeks earlier on September 20.
“10 years and counting. Going to go for the world record or die trying,” he captioned the post.
Amy shared more photos in a post on her own account, writing, “The whole point is never clearer than when I’m with you.”
Fans were ecstatic about the news, congratulating the new couple in the comments section.
“Oh Amy, you make for such a beautiful bride. I’m truly grateful you both shared such a momentous occasion with all of us. I wish you all the years of happiness and joy as you both have given countless amounts of to your fans,” one wrote.

Mark and Amy are the latest internet-famous couple to tie the knot after British YouTuber and Sidemen member Zerkaa married his wife, fellow content creator Freya, earlier in September.
