An exclusive McDonald’s Japan McFlurry is finally landing in the United States, but you might have a bit of a journey on your hands to get it.

McDonald’s may have its typical menu chock-full with Happy Meals, Big Macs, and chicken nuggets, but there are some items that are only exclusive to certain parts of the world.

Travel to a chain in continental Europe and you’ll be able to buy a beer with your meal, the US is still missing Chicken Selects as a permanent menu item, and then you have Japan – which has some of the craziest menu items possible.

Whenever these exclusive menu items land outside of their usual region, they can be widespread for a very limited time. Yet, there are scenarios like the Banana Tart McFlurry from McDonald’s Japan, which is extremely limited both in terms of time and location.

Banana Tart McFlurry is available in Chicago McDonald’s

That’s right, the Banana Tart McFlurry – which is a staple of the McDonald’s Japan menu – has finally landed in the United States.

However, if you want it, you’ll have to travel to Chicago and the McDonald’s headquarters.

The tasty dessert is currently on the global menu at the 1045 West Randolph Street store. It is alongside other offerings like the McAloo Tikki from India, a McCrispy Bacon & Cheese Melt from Brazil, and McPops from Spain.

This store has become famous for offering some of the wildest global selections on the menu, but there are some items that will never be there.

Former McDonald’s corporate chef Mike Haracz revealed that potato wedges, the Biscoff McFlurry with caramel, and Spicy Black Pepper Garlic McNuggets – all of which are available elsewhere in the world – won’t pop up on that rotating menu for different reasons.
