McDonald’s is bringing back McDonaldland for the first time in over 20 years, launching a new meal and specialty shake on August 12.
The McDonaldland Meal includes a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with fries, paired with the Mt. McDonaldland Shake. The shake features bright blue “lava” syrup, pink whipped topping, and a “surprise flavor,” with some reviewers describing cotton candy notes in the topping.
Each meal comes with a limited-edition collectible tin decorated with classic McDonaldland characters and packed with stickers, postcards, and other themed items.
McDonaldland’s return marks a full revival of the brand’s mascot lineup, including Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Hamburglar, Birdie, Mayor McCheese, and the Fry Friends. McDonald’s says the campaign is designed as an “immersive experience” blending nostalgia with modern marketing.
Merch and collaborations
Alongside the meal, PacSun will release McDonaldland-branded apparel, including sweat sets and graphic tees, starting August 12. Away will also offer free McDonaldland luggage tags and bag charms with purchases beginning August 18, while supplies last.
The campaign will be supported with online content on the McDonaldLand website and across McDonald’s social channels.
