McDonald’s has entered the Upside Down. The fast-food giant is teaming up with Stranger Things for a special Happy Meal-style box celebrating the Netflix series’ final season and fans are losing their minds.

The Stranger Things box comes with an exclusive Hellfire Dipping Sauce, a themed box, and a mystery mini-figure inside. Characters include Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Will, Lucas, and even the Demogorgon, all sealed in blind packaging.

According to McDonald’s Portugal, customers who buy a regular or large combo can add a Stranger Things box for an additional 1€ (around $1 USD) to get an exclusive collectible from the series.

Unfortunately for fans in North America, this special collab is only available in select countries such as Spain, Portugal, and Argentina. Still, that hasn’t stopped the rest of the world from begging for a wider release.

Stranger Things fans plead for McDonald’s collab to go global

“Omg those need to come to the USA,” one fan wrote, while another demanded, “We want in Australia! Come on!”

Some voiced frustration that Stranger Things, one of Netflix’s most American shows, is getting its McDonald’s tie-in overseas first, while others just wanted to try the Hellfire Dipping Sauce.

So far, McDonald’s hasn’t confirmed if the limited-edition collab will expand to more regions, but with Stranger Things Season 5 dropping across three volumes, starting November 26, then continuing on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, there’s plenty of time for a global rollout.

The partnership joins a string of Stranger Things brand crossovers leading into the show’s finale. KFC launched a red-bun burger and “Stranger Wings” in the UK and Ireland.

Meanwhile, Doritos unveiled its “Upside Down” mashup bags and a thick Demogorgon Dip that went viral.

Even Babybel and Chips Ahoy got in on the action with Hellfire cheese and fruit-filled cookies.

With the show’s final chapter on the horizon, it seems every brand wants a bite of Hawkins’ last hurrah, and fans are more than ready to collect them all.
