It’s the question you never knew you needed an answer to, but thanks to the 2025 Anime Awards, McDonald‘s has given us a McTasty morsel of info about our favorite characters, including Luffy.

From Solo Leveling to Demon Slayer and Dandadan, the 2025 Anime Awards had some heavy hitters among its winners. The former took home four accolades, including Anime of the Year and Best New Anime Series, but there’s still no word of a third season.

While we wait for renewal news for some favorites and continue to binge others on a weekly basis (cough, One Piece), fresh content has arrived in the form of an unlikely source.

Yes, you read that headline correctly – McDonald’s is weighing in on the world of anime, and it’s all to do with the iconic golden arches breakfast menu.

McDonald’s reveals your favorite anime characters’ breakfast orders

Eleven of our favorite anime characters have just had their full McDonald’s breakfast orders revealed thanks to the food giant itself.

  • Frieren from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End – 1 steak, egg, and cheese bagel
  • Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries – 1 oatmeal, 1 hot chocolate
  • Colossal Titan from Attack on Titan – 1 small coffee
  • Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach – 1 big breakfast with hotcakes, 1 ketchup, 1 strawberry preserve, 2 chocolate chip cookies, 1 Coca-Cola
  • Sung Jin-Woo from Solo Leveling 1 egg McMuffin with 10 pots of grape jam
  • Momo and Okarun from Dandadan – 1 orange juice, 1 milk, 2 egg McMuffins
  • Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece – 1 steak, egg, and cheese bagel with extra steak, extra bacon, and extra sausage
  • Ranma Saotome from Ranma ½ – 1 fruit and maple oatmeal, 1 McCafe iced latte
  • Yoichi Isagi from Blue Lock – 1 hotcakes with 10 hash browns
  • Kaiju No.8 from Kaiju No.8

As Senior Marketing Director of McDonald’s Guillaume Huin explained, “This campaign was made to celebrate the Anime Awards. Each McDonald’s breakfast order and design have been thought based on the personality of the character. For example, Maomao is represented via a green background and the way the bag is folded is neat and tidy.

“If you look at Kaiju’s order, the bag is drawn in a way that represents the duality of the character. Ichigo has strawberry preserve in his order, because his name means strawberry, and Ranma’s bag is half wet, based on the effect cold and hot water has on Ranma!”

However, that doesn’t mean fans completely agree with the brand’s predictions.

“Wrong because Luffy would eat the whole menu,” one fan joked, with a second agreeing, “Sun Jin Woo ain’t ordering that.”

While there’s no plans for any further crossover, don’t rule out a live-action version of the menu later down the line.

As Huin added, “That’s a great question, I will be honest time is the biggest driver in terms of what we can and can’t do. On this one, it was a bit last minute so it’s more a conversation/fandom play given the ties between our brand and anime! But we know people can order these meals based on their fandoms… maybe with more time we can go even bigger next time!”
