I absolutely love media from Japan, whether it’s video games, anime, music— and whatnot. Some of my hobbies nowadays includes purchasing goods using a proxy to buy stuff directly from Japan. I mostly purchase anime figures but for my latest haul I decided to purchase some of the Animal Crossing: New Leaf magazines I’ve seen circulating around on Pinterest. These magazines are the Animal Crossing: New Leaf Japanese PikoPuri, they’re basically desing books filled with QR codes, designs you can copy pixel by pixel and town tunes! I’m not sure how many issues there are in total but I purchased two of them and today they arrived from Japan!
I won’t be diving into the QR codes or the designs themselves today with this post as I’m going to be featuring them on their own QR code which I’ll try and get posted asap HOWEVER these books are a literal treasure when it comes to the beautiful designs inside of them! I’m hoping that me posting all of the QR codes online will allow more people to view the beautiful designs inside of the books. 🙂
At the back of the October booklet is a town tune section which, if I’m being honest, wasn’t expecting as I didn’t actually know that these magazines contained town tunes inside of them! :O I thought they just contained QR codes for the outfits and designs inside of them. Out of curosity, I decided to recreate them and listen to them all individually and listen to Isabelle sing them too! I shared my photo above on reddit that I had purchased these books and someone requested that I share the town tunes so here we are with this post!
I cannot read Japanese so I am relying on my iPhone’s translator app to translate the song name, description, etc the best I can to try and identify any of these songs so the names of the town tunes may not be accurate unfortunately, sorry! I’ll be sharing the written name of the town tune, description and the translation of the summary for the “perfect time for this”. If I can find where the town tune is referencing I’ll make sure to include it.
