Monster Hunter Wilds is teaming up with KFC Japan for a limited collaboration that blends themed meal packs with exclusive in-game rewards, giving fans a chance to pick up real world treats alongside digital bonuses.
The Finger Lickin’ Good promotion runs from November 19 to December 16 and centres on the “Monster Hunter Collaboration Pack,” a special meal box built around KFC’s original chicken, fries, and a biscuit topped with honey maple syrup.
While there’s no monstrous portions or new food items on offer, each purchase includes a code for one in-game charm and a matching bundle of items.
Customers can choose between the Feast Set White, which offers the Colonel Felyne charm and a collection of luxury in-game cooking ingredients, or the Spice Up Set Red, which includes the KFC Bucket Felyne charm and a set of hunting-focused items.
KFC x Monster Hunter Wilds collab features cute charms
Both charms were designed specifically for the collab, and anyone buying the pack will be able to redeem their code once distribution begins on December 16.
KFC is selling two meal sizes, and while the portions differ, each version is available in White or Red variants that come with limited stickers tied to the charm you choose. The larger pack includes three pieces of chicken for 1700 yen (around $11 USD) while the smaller 1350 yen option (about $8.70 USD) offers two pieces, though both come in special packaging.
Fans ordering online from November 13 will also be entered into a merchandise lottery, with 20 winners receiving a collaboration hoodie and 200 more getting a Felyne-themed case.
There will also be life-size Monster Hunter Wilds character panels set to appear throughout the campaign to give fans a place to take photos.
For now, the Monster Hunter Wilds x KFC collaboration is exclusive to Japan, and neither company has indicated whether it could expand overseas. So, if you’re in Japan and are a fan of Monster Hunter, then be sure to grab some wings to net yourself some exclusive merch.
