YouTube star MrBeast is calling out a viral screenshot of messages from an account pretending to be him commenting on Zohran Mamdani’s status as New York City’s mayor-elect.
Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor of New York City on November 4, 2025.
Mandani’s campaign was a viral topic on social media well before the actual voting date. Now that he’s officially set to be NYC’s next mayor, posts about the election are popping off left and right.
One of these posts caught the eye of YouTube’s most-subscribed content creator, Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson — but not because of his politics.
The post in question was shared by an X account named ‘Stanley Baldwin,’ which featured a screenshot of a YouTube Live chat following the election results.
In the screenshot, a fake MrBeast account reacts to the election results, writing, “Bro, he’s nothing special,” “Every US [politician] speaks like that,” and “NYC is cooked.”
“Mr Beast getting a little mad on the Zohran livestream,” Baldwin captioned the screenshot — but the YouTuber was quick to clear his name.
Hours later, Donaldson clarified the issue in a reply, confirming that the account wasn’t his.
“Why is it that every day now, I wake up to a new fake tweet of something I never said?” he wrote.
Users added more context in community notes underneath the original post, explaining that the person behind the account is an impersonator who often makes inflammatory comments on various live streams pretending to be the YouTube star.
Their YouTube channel is named ‘MrBeast,’ while their handle is listed as ‘BeastIndustries.’ Their account is verified and boasts over 123K subscribers, along with links to the Feastables website and a ‘MrBeast Jobs’ hiring platform.
However, they have not uploaded any videos, and their channel is still live at the time of publishing this article.
