It’s been a very very veryyyyy long time since I’ve played with other people on New Leaf since online play came back online with Pretendo. The online servers for Pretendo were taken offline for a while due to an exploit that they were fixing and then the servers came back online for New Leaf around middle of December 2025. Due to this, I haven’t played with online play in a really long time until yesterday!
I was invited by Wren to play in their town of Walnut alongside Eric and Jolly- we’re all members of Mimi’s Cozy Corner, an Animal Crossing: New Leaf focused Discord server that you can join here! I believe Jolly and Eric were mainly visiting Walnut to buy turnips as it was Sunday and Joan was selling them for lower prices over in Wren’s town. 🙂
Also I thought I’d mention that I have my own mods enabled so the colour of stuff in Wren’s town is because of my mods from my Heavenly Cupid mod pack were enabled whilst I was visiting, that’s why some of their in game stuff like the streetlamp pwp look so different compared to the normal colour!
It’s quite refreshing to see a town in real life time considering all of mine aren’t. I haven’t played on SnowBelle in a long time due to my 2DS being broken right now. 😦 So I haven’t seen in game snow in a really long time! After 2 crashes, I finally managed to get in alongside Eric and Jolly! I was the third person to arrive and shortly after Eric came over.
As soon as Eric arrived I bonked him on the head and ran down to where Wren and Jolly were. Wren had trapped Joan in a little pit covered by holes so it was easier for everyone to purchase turnips for this week.
I was bonking everyone on the head with my toy hammer, I forgot how fun it is to do that in New Leaf. 😀 I was feeling a little mischievious when I was doing that and couldn’t stop giggling in real life because of the bonking animation with the toy hammer lol.
Jolly hit me back with a shovel and Wren was smacking my head with a net hehe. 😀
After that, I went around Walnut for a little bit to explore and look around considering it’s my first visit here. I really like Walnut’s town flag and the aesthetic of their town, it’s very forestcore and natural. 🙂 I watered a lot of the flowers to help with crossbreeding hybrids and stuff!
After that, I found a few fish and tried to fish them up. I successfully caught a fish here.
Then by the bridge, I was trying to catch a fish but the fish kept ignoring my bobber. Wren spotted it too and threw their bobber into the river, the fish went straight for their bobber instead and caught it immediately and then started to tease me over it. xD
We then kept spamming the same in game emotes which was quite funny.
Shortly after that, Jolly had to leave. And then after that we went to explore around Wren’s house. Wren had made their newly stolen black bass their new pet fish, smh!! >_>
Apart from their new pet fish, their house is really pretty and super cozy! 😮 I love how their first main room is a lounge and kitchen all in one! We watched TV in their lounge for a little bit and then decided to check out their other rooms! ^_^
Their left room is their own little office which again was so cozy! I love the way how Wren decorates their rooms so much. 🙂
Their right room was a tiny little bathroom! I decided to use the toilet for a joke but don’t worry, I washed my hands afterwards. xD
Eric joined us after that and we all explored Wren’s basement together which is a cool garage!! This is honestly the most creative and unique idea I’ve seen for someone’s basement in Animal Crossing!! 😮
And lastly we explored Wren’s bedroom which was also pretty cozy!
I looking thru the telescope for a bit, then rolled around in the bed and afterwards then joined Eric in dancing as Wren was putting different songs into the stereo.
Shortly after that though, Wren had to leave to go to work but it was super duper fun! Thank you for having us over Wren and for playing with me Eric & Jolly especially for my first WiFi session of 2026! I had a blast!! 🙂 ❤
