Mimesis is a terrifying new co-op horror game that features “cutting-edge” AI technology that copies players’ moves and voices.
So far, 2025 has seen the reveal of several unique horror games that aim to bring plenty of scares in new, frightening ways. The most notable is Eyes Never Wake, which lets a monster see you through your webcam. There’s also Dark Mass, a “fully underwater” survival horror that features otherworldly horrors that lurk in a sunken manor.
Silent Hill f has also caught the attention of fans after delivering a shocking warning that you have to see to believe.
Well, not to be outdone by the weird and wonderful world of upcoming horror games, ReLU Games is hoping to bring the spine-tingling chills with Mimesis.
Mimesis uses AI that copies players’ moves & voices
Mimesis is an upcoming co-op horror game that sees up to four players navigate spooky environments in pursuit of supplies. While this sounds rather run-of-the-mill, Mimesis has a terrifying twist that makes navigating its world even creepier.
According to the Steam page, players will face enemies that copy their every move and, more interestingly, their voices. “Can you tell friend from foe? With cutting-edge technology, these are the most chilling enemies you’ve ever faced,” reads the description.
During the day, players must find fuel and spare parts to fix the broken tram and make their escape. However, during the night, rain falls, and if the tram stops, enemies that mimic your teammates will begin to appear.
“Hope didn’t last long. I used to trust my teammates. But Mimeses can copy people perfectly. Is the person next to me really my ally?” The description concludes.
With resources being shared amongst your companions, you’ll need to figure out who you can trust and who is truly a friend or foe.
