The Perks for the next Overwatch 2 hero, Wuyang, have leaked ahead of his free trial period in August.
Overwatch hero 44, Wuyang, is set to release in Season 18 with a preview period scheduled from August 14–18.
Not much is known about the Chinese support so far, but Blizzard has hyped him up in their latest blog post, stating: “His fluid healing, hybrid damage utility, and graceful mobility make for Support done differently. Expect a learning curve with some serious splash potential.”
And while we may not know his exact standard abilities, Wuyang’s Perks have been datamined, and they provide some big clues about his play style and how his kit will operate.
Wuyang’s Overwatch 2 Perks leaked
An image showing Wuyang’s Perks was shared to X by user Wiki_OW, noting that they could change before the hero’s release. Wiki_OW has a great track record when it comes to sharing accurate information, so there’s a good chance these details are legitimate.
Reading through the Perks, they indicate some key details such as the hero using at least one resource meter, a possible movement ability, and more.
The first perk, Overflow, lets Wuyang Gain 10 ammo and 33% healing resource when Rushing Torrent is activated.
Ebb and Flow’s perk description states: Guardian Wave rewinds to its starting location. Deals 50% decreased damage while rewinding.
Balance states that the Restorative Stream passive healing increased by 40% for 2 seconds when you deal damage with water orbs.
Finally, Falling Rain lets players simultaneously control 3 water orbs that deal 60% decreased damage and have 25% decreased empowered explosion radius.
Based on this info, players have made some observations. For one, it appears that the support will have a healing resource meter similar to Moira in the form of Restorative Stream.
Rushing Torrent could very well be a movement ability akin to Lifeweaver’s Rejuvenating Dash.
Guardian Wave sounds like it’s an Ultimate with some knockback properties, though it’s unclear if it will also heal allies.
His primary fire appears to be water orbs. We don’t know exactly how these will function, but based on Overflow’s description, expect the ammo count to be at least 10.
