Call of Duty’s Conversion Kits are attachments that change how a weapon behaves, potentially turning a bottom-of-the-pack weapon into a meta choice.
The CODtoons event is live in all modes, and on top of a new camo and American Dad-themed rewards, it’s brought a new Conversion Kit for the TR2 Marksman Rifle.
It briefly appeared in the meta following the DM-10s nerf, and although it’s no longer the dominant long-range option it once was, it’s actually an excellent option at close range thanks to the new TR2 CQB Auto Conversion.
Although it doesn’t kill as fast as the LC10 at point-blank range, Warzone’s TR2 CQB Auto is much more versatile.
Its rapid TTK competes with all the other SMGs at close range, but it doesn’t suffer from the initial damage drop-off, letting it kill fast out to 20 meters, making it a great sniper support option.
It’s also very easy to use with clean iron sights, and the default 50-round mag is more than enough for any squad size. The fire rate does slow down as you hold the trigger, but this lets it delete at close range without being impossible to control at long range.
Content creators have been using it to great success, with pro player Aydan using it alongside the AMAX to drop 45 kills playing solo in Duos. Here’s the best loadout for it:
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
- Magazine: Full-Auto Extended Mag
- Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
- Fire Mods: TR2 CQB Auto Conversion
It’s not the absolute meta, but it can give any SMG a run for its money. Plus, we expect the LC10 to be nerfed in the Season 5 update, which should drop on August 7, and if that happens, the TR2 could easily be the new meta option.
