Streaming star NICKMERCS has hit back at claims that he’s been cheating in ARC Raiders amid a wave of hacks and glitches.

Cheating has existed in multiplayer games pretty much since the beginning of things. However, it has gotten much worse over the last few years as online games have become increasingly cross-platform. God mode cheats, wall hacks, and aimbots have been used by hackers to get a leg up on their unsuspecting opponents.

ARC Raiders had, for quite a while, been untouched by cheaters and hackers. However, towards the end of 2025 and start of 2026, cheaters have become a lot more prevalent.

Streamer NickMercs has even been accused of cheating because of how accurate a number of his shots have been. The fact he deleted a Twitch VOD amid the accusations didn’t help his case, but he has hit back at some of the claims.

NickMercs mocks cheating accusations in ARC Raiders

“If you’re playing on console, I don’t know what the fuck is going on. I haven’t played this game on console. Historically, aim assist has always been a little bit more juiced on console, but from what I’ve read, it seems like it’s the other way around on this one,” Nick said.

Nick also pointed to some of the claims against him, with some accusers claimign that their aim assist is “nothing” like what he’s getting.

“These dudes are hilarious,” he continued. “Anyway, Not cheating sorry, didn’t wait 20 years playing competitively to show you I was cheating against an ARC robot. So, anybody that wants me dead or cancelled, sorry guys, the f*cking show goes on.”

As noted, there have been complaints from players about cheaters and glitchers taking over. 100 Thieves boss Nadeshot said it had become “much worse” than Call of Duty’s battle with cheaters.

Embark, the developers behind ARC Raiders, addressed some of the complaints, promising to update the anti-cheat and rolling out ban waves for cheaters.
