Twitch streamer Nina Lin apologized following a resurfaced clip from 2024 showing her and fellow creator Zoe Spencer behaving inappropriately toward FaZe Silky’s assistant, Said.
While Twitch hasn’t confirmed the reason, both Lin and Spencer, who were seen in the original clip restraining Said and pinning him down on a bed, have since been banned from the platform.
The timing aligns with the circulation of the clip across X/Twitter, which went viral, prompting widespread criticism and accusations of sexual assault.
Nina Lin admits what happened was “wrong”
In an October 24 stream, Lin acknowledged the backlash. She said, “I’m old enough to own up to what I did wrong. During the situation, I genuinely 100% thought it was a joke. I thought he was laughing…but yeah, I see, it is wrong. It is really, really wrong, and what we [Lin and Spender] did was wrong. He clearly was uncomfortable with it.”
Said, who works as FaZe Silky’s assistant, said on X/Twitter that he was “still going to make a statement later,” following the bans, but the lack of context makes it unclear if Said was referring to the incident, Lin and Spencer’s ban, or something else entirely.
Twitch hasn’t officially stated the reasons for the ban, but we’ll update this article if it does, as well as when Said releases his planned statement.
Either way, the incident comes amid renewed scrutiny for Twitch, which faced numerous accusations of not doing enough to protect content creators after high-profile streamer Emiru was assaulted at TwitchCon 2025.
