Here’s the trick. Costco is also selling the Pro Controller for $74.99, and since Best Buy has a price-match guarantee policy, all you have to do is point them toward Costco’s listing, and they’ll match it on the spot.

No membership card needed, no awkward "borrow your cousin’s" login moment.

How to Pull Off the Price Match

  1. Go to Best Buy’s product page for the Switch 2 Pro Controller.
  2. Use Best Buy’s live chat, and politely ask for a price match with Costco’s $74.99 listing.
  3. Costco is considered a Qualified Competitor, so Best Buy will honor a price match there when asked.
  4. Make your purchase at $74.99 with Best Buy.

With My Best Buy Plus costing $50 a year and My Best Buy Total Tech coming in at $179.99, this little workaround is the smartest way to score the Switch 2 Pro Controller at a discount if you don’t have a Best Buy or Costco membership.

Sure, $10 off isn't exactly mind-blowing, but if a Pro Controller was already on your post–Switch 2 shopping list this summer, it’s a nice little nudge to finally grab one.

In other Nintendo Switch news, the Switch OLED is somehow $100 Off at Walmart right now, even after the recent price increases.

In case you missed the memo, Nintendo has recently raised prices on Switch 1 hardware amid inflation and tariff chaos, and basically lots of stuff becoming noticeably more expensive than it was just a few years ago.

However, apparently Walmart didn’t get the memo, because it’s selling the Switch OLED for just $299. That’s a $100 savings against the current MSRP, and it’s even cheaper than the original price, pre-hike.

Nintendo also recently hosted its August 2025 Nintendo Indie World Showcase, and while it came and went without a Hollow Knight: Silksong release date, it still brought 15 minutes of other indie game announcements.
