Bob Odenkirk is back to cap off the summer movie season with Nobody 2, but if you don’t want to watch the sequel in cinemas, there’s one streaming platform you need to keep your eyes on.
The first Nobody was released in 2021, with footfall into theaters slowly increasing after the worst of the pandemic. It was still a financial success, grossing $57 million worldwide – and, more importantly, it was well-liked by critics and ordinary moviegoers alike, later rocketing to the top of the Netflix charts.
Four years later, Odenkirk and co. are back in Nobody 2, a sequel directed by Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes for Us, The Shadow Strays). Christopher Lloyd has reprised his role as Hutch’s dad, too, and this time, Sharon Stone is playing the villain.
Given many fans of the first film may have discovered it on streaming, you may be curious about when and where Nobody 2 will be available to stream. Here’s what we know.
How to watch Nobody 2
Nobody 2 will be exclusive to theaters from Friday, August 15.
In Odenkirk’s eyes, this won’t be the last time we see Hutch. “I think there’s four films,” he told ComicBook.
“The kids get four years older. We shot the first film four years ago. Same two kids play my kids in the movie. Paisley Cadorath, Gage Munroe, great actors.
“And I like the idea that we see everybody grow up and we see them go through different stages of life and a marriage, go through different stages too.”
Where to stream Nobody 2
Nobody 2 will eventually be available to stream on Peacock, but it hasn’t been announced when it’ll drop on streaming.
The sequel is being distributed by Universal Pictures, which is owned by NBCUniversal… which owns Peacock, so it’s the obvious destination for Nobody 2. This isn’t just an assumption, either: Universal movies are contracted to come to Peacock during their pay-one window.
However, in 2023, Universal split its Pay-One rights between Peacock and Prime Video.
Don’t worry about trying to understand the terms and conditions of that deal, it’s this simple: after four months on Peacock, movies will shift over to Prime Video for 10 months, before returning to Peacock for another four months. After that 18-month window ends, films can be shopped to other platforms like Netflix.
When will Nobody 2 be on digital?
Nobody 2 will likely be available to buy or rent from digital platforms in early September 2025.
While it depends on the movie’s success (Wicked took a little bit longer between its theatrical and digital releases), Universal Pictures titles tend to arrive on digital a month after they’re released in cinemas (give or take a few days).
For example, Jurassic World Rebirth came to digital on August 5, 34 days after it arrived in cinemas. Either way, September seems like a safe bet.
