Popular VTuber Nyanners says VShojo didn’t pay her for a Twitch stream where the police swatted her.
On Monday, July 21, One of the top VTubers, Ironmouse, took to YouTube to share that she was leaving her agency, VShojo.
In the video, Mouse revealed that the agency owed her a ton of money, but also had yet to make a promised $500,000 donation to the Immune Deficiency Foundation after her massively successful September 2024 subathon on Twitch.
After her departure, tons of other VTubers revealed similar incidents as they announced their departure from VShojo. Nyanners, a creator who left the agency in 2023, shared her own shocking experience with the company as well.
Nyanners says she wasn’t paid for stream where she was swatted
During her stream on Tuesday, July 22, Nyanners was talking with her chat about the drama surrounding her old agency when she brought up the swatting.
“I went through all that, but at least I’ll get paid,” she said. “Wouldn’t you know it, one of the many things they failed to pay me for over the course of literal years was that stream. The one that I got swatted during.
“It felt like a kick in the deepest part of my gut. Words cannot even describe how angry I was… I trusted them to be able to make good on payments.”
Swatting has been an issue across livestreaming platforms for almost a decade now, with affected creators getting a visit from the police while broadcasting on their channels.
It involves an unknown person calling the police – usually using an unknown number with a voice changer enabled – to report a fake crime taking place at the streamer’s house.
