Move over, breast milk ice cream. Ohio’s Great Wolf Lodge has officially coming for the crown of weirdest flavor.
The resort is serving a limited-time Ranch Milkshake at its locations, including in Sandusky, and it’s exactly what it sounds like: vanilla ice cream blended with real ranch dressing.
The shake doesn’t stop there. It’s topped with crispy chicken, carrots, celery, whipped cream, and finished with a sweet-salty lime rim. The company says it’s designed to be sipped or even used as a dip, leaning fully into the ranch theme.
The unusual dessert is rolling out nationwide from March 5 through March 20. On March 10, which marks National Ranch Day, guests can grab one for $3.10.
The drink has already sparked reactions online thanks to its mix of sweet and savory flavors. While ranch and ice cream both share a creamy base, pairing them together, then adding chicken and vegetables on top, pushes it into novelty territory.
Ranch milkshake enters the weird food trend
Great Wolf Lodge is known for family-friendly water park resorts, not viral food experiments. But this shake is clearly built for social media as much as it is for curious taste testers.
Whether it ends up surprisingly good or just another bizarre limited-time stunt, Ohio is now home to one of the strangest milkshakes of 2026, on par with Oddfellows’ breast-milk flavor.
This isn’t the only time a condiment has been turned into a dessert, either. In 2025, Smoothie King teamed up with Heinz for a “savory sweet” ketchup drink.
