Things are getting more heated on the island as three different forces collide. Roger Pirates have successfully fulfilled their mission of rescuing Shakuyaku while the World Government and Navy are trying to quash the pirates. However, it’s Rocks who’s in a very precarious position.
A Davy clan member, Rocks has his whole family turned into monsters, while he’s trying to protect his wife and son. In Chapter 1162, he and his wife separated and promised to meet in Lulusia if they survived. With them gone, he focused on defeating his enemies.
Whitebeard and Kaido joined their captain as they faced their most fearsome opponent: Imu. What happens after that is revealed in Chapter 1163.

Titled ‘Promise’, One Piece Chapter 1163 features the climactic battle of the God Valley Incident between Imu and the pirates. The cover page shows Luffy playing parkour with some monkeys.
After possessing St. Saturn’s body, Imu faces Rocks and calls him Davy Jones. While Rocks denies being the same man, he agrees that what was ‘promised’ must be fulfilled. This insinuates to the yet unknown relationship between Davy Jones and the World Government.
Recovering from Kaido’s attack, Big Mom joins Rocks, Whitebeard, and Kaido in the battle. They attack Imu together. Elsewhere, Roger Pirates are still clashing against Rocks Pirates. A particular scene shows Captain John fighting Ganzui.
Eventually Roger and Garp join the battle against Imu. They, along with Rocks and his three strongest crew members, attack Imu together. But even that massively powerful attack proves useless. Imu soon recovers and fires back with an attack of their own. One Piece Chapter 1163 ends with Imu using Domi Reversi on Rocks and commanding him to kill his family.
