Pewdiepie continues his deep dive into the world of open-source tech with his custom build AI chat bot that uses a council of AI bots to give him answers.

PewDiePie has unveiled a custom, self-hosted AI interface that runs entirely on his own PC, powered by a 10-GPU setup and a team of chatbots that literally vote on the best response. He showed off the project in his new video “STOP. Using AI Right now,” explaining how he added features like search, memory, RAG, and audio output to create his own ChatGPT-style UI from scratch.

In the video, he jokes about “bifurcating” PCIe lanes to fit more GPUs, experimenting with 70B, 120B, and even Qwen 245B models through vLLM. The YouTuber says he wanted to “max out” his rig, and ended up running local AI at speeds that rival major commercial tools, all without sending data to the cloud.

PewDiePie’s “AI council” turns on him

A viral post on X summed up his setup as “vibe-coding” a Chat UI and building an army of bots equipped with RAG, DeepResearch, and audio output. PewDiePie says he used the system to form a “council” where each AI agent debates and votes on the best answer — until they started colluding against him.

He later tested a 64-bot “swarm,” admitted his web UI became the weak point, and said he now plans to fine-tune his own model next month. Outside of the AI experiments, PewDiePie revealed he’s donating idle GPU power to Folding@home under Team Pewds (1066966) to support disease research.

The project marks another step in PewDiePie’s pivot toward tech-driven content, blending humor, open-source tinkering, and genuine curiosity about where AI is headed next.
