PlayStation has rolled out one of its biggest PS Portal updates yet, letting PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers stream select PS5 games directly from the cloud with no PS5 console required.

This update marks the first time players can stream PS5 games from their personal library without a console connection.
The update brings cloud streaming support for thousands of compatible PS5 titles from a user’s library, including Astro Bot, GTA 5, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Fortnite, and Resident Evil 4. Hundreds of titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog, including God of War Ragnarök and The Last of Us Part II Remastered, are also supported.
A redesigned home screen adds dedicated Cloud Streaming and Search tabs alongside the original Remote Play option.
Other additions include 3D Audio support, in-game store access, accessibility settings, and passcode lock security.
Cloud streaming now enables in-game purchases, multiplayer invites, and gameplay without a powered-on PS5, which are important for players who want to stream while someone else uses the console.
