PlayStation has officially named its first-ever wireless fight stick. Previously referred to as Project Defiant, the newly titled FlexStrike is scheduled to launch in 2026.
Announced in a July 28 PlayStation Blog post, the FlexStrike is designed for both PS5 and PC, supporting wired connections and wireless play through Sony’s PlayStation Link system.
The stick also features DualSense button support, an integrated touchpad, and the ability to wake a PS5 with a single press. Users can connect Pulse Elite headsets or Pulse Explore earbuds directly to the FlexStrike for low-latency audio.
Fans can check it out soon
The FlexStrike is built with a mechanical button layout and includes three swappable restrictor gates: square, circle, and octagon. All gates can be stored inside the included carry case, alongside a USB-C cable.
Ergonomic details include a non-slip base, angled surfaces, and a built-in rechargeable battery. The fight stick also supports simultaneous pairing of two units to a single PS5 for local co-op.
The FlexStrike will be on display at Evo 2025 in Las Vegas from August 1 to 3. A full release is expected sometime in 2026.
