Pokemon is coming to Hytale through community-made mods, with the long-running PokeFind team confirming it is bringing its Pokemon experience from Minecraft into Hypixel Studios’ sandbox RPG.
The announcement came via a post on X from PokeFind, which shared early footage of Pokemon models running inside Hytale and confirmed that larger updates are planned. The short clip shows the Kanto starters and their evolutions rendered in Hytale’s art style, including Charizard, Blastoise, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur.
Pokefind is best known in the Minecraft scene for delivering Pokemon gameplay without requiring players to install external mods. Instead of relying on client-side downloads like Pixelmon or Cobblemon, the team uses proprietary server-side plugins, custom resource packs, and original 3D models built with tools like Blockbench.
That approach has allowed Pokefind to support both Java and Bedrock players, including those on consoles and mobile devices, for nearly a decade.
Gotta catch ’em all in Hytale
According to the team, the goal is to bring that same philosophy into Hytale. While technical details have not been fully outlined, Pokefind has previously built full Pokemon regions, NPC-driven storylines, battle systems, leveling mechanics, and survival-style modes such as Pokemon Skyblock within Minecraft.
The developers have indicated that similar experiences are planned for Hytale once development progresses further.
One of the developers of PokeFind answering questions on Reddit stated, “PokeFind been building a within vanilla Minecraft for over 8 years now so they already have all their assets and systems built out. Just a matter of them porting it over.”
“Currently we are focused on getting something out there as fast as possible and build up from there with the community”
The project arrives as Hytale continues to expand following its early access launch, with modders already experimenting with large-scale content alongside official updates from Hypixel Studios.
No release window has been shared, and due to licensing limitations, it is unlikely the Pokemon content will be distributed through official mod platforms. As with Pokefind’s Minecraft projects, accessing the Hytale version may require joining specific servers as in Minecraft.
