Pokemon Legends Z-A fans are being asked to channel their inner Slowpoke for one of the series’ goofiest giveaways yet.
To mark the grand opening of Pokemon Center Kagawa, stores across Japan are handing out a special Slowpoke in a Cherish Ball, but with a very Slowpoke-style twist.
From October 24 to November 30, anyone who visits a participating Pokemon Center and says Slowpoke’s famously sleepy cry to store staff will receive a serial code to unlock the Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Z-A.
Pokemon Legends Z-A special Slowpoke giveaway
The campaign is exclusive to Pokemon Centers in Japan, and each visitor can only receive one code. The giveaway runs until supplies last, and all codes expire on January 31, 2026.
Players can also grab a “Pokemon Center Kagawa Opening Commemoration” medal in the Pokemon HOME app during the same period. The medal shows Slowpoke peacefully lounging in the spring sun, tying back to Kagawa’s love for the lazy Water/Psychic-type ‘mon.
Slowpoke’s Japanese name, Yadon, sounds similar to udon, the thick wheat noodles Kagawa is famous for, and the playful rhyme inspired an official collaboration in 2018, turning Slowpoke into the prefecture’s tourism ambassador and local mascot.
