Two legendary birds just broke cover in Pokemon TCG Pocket, days before they were supposed to. And yes, it was official.

The next big expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket is the A4 set. It hasn’t been fully revealed yet, but official teasers and datamines have given fans a solid idea of what to expect.

The new expansion will feature two different booster packs, each with its own chase cards. The theme is likely centered on Generation 2, including Johto Legendaries and baby Pokemon.

With a supposed release date set for July 30, 2025, an official announcement was expected during the recent Pokemon Presents. But what nobody expected was for the reveal to come early from inside the house.

The Italian Pokemon channel leaked both packs early

On July 22, the official Italian Pokemon channel accidentally leaked the new booster packs by uploading the trailer.

In it, cards featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia, as well as many other Gen 2 creatures, can be seen. And while the video appeared only briefly, fans were quick to capture and repost it.

The footage was high-quality, with Italian narration and full promo editing. That all but confirmed it was a legit slip, not a fan-made fake.

The leak showed Ho-Oh ex, Lugia ex, and Shiny Red Gyarados. It also featured baby Pokemon like Pichu and Cleffa, plus Umbreon ex and Espeon ex. Fans had speculated about all of them based on previous datamines.

Now those reveals look spot on. The two-pack structure from previous expansions is clearly continuing here.

Fans are, understandably, excited: “God bless the Italians,” one said, while another had one very valid concern: “Why the hell wasn’t this in the Pokmon Presents?” This event aired on the same day of the leak, revealing more info about Pokemon Champions and a new trailer for Pokemon Legends Z-A.

The A4 set is the next step in a growing content roadmap. After the recent A3b update in June featuring Eevee and its Eeveelutions, the game’s pacing is picking up.

With new features, expanding card pools, and Johto nostalgia hitting hard, TCG Pocket is building momentum. And now the world knows exactly what’s dropping on July 30.
