Grow a Garden is getting a feature film adaptation. Story Kitchen, the production company behind multiple video game-to-screen projects like Sonic and Tomb Raider, has teamed up with the creators of the hit Roblox title to bring the game to theaters.
Grow a Garden launched in March 2025 and quickly became one of Roblox’s biggest success stories. The game lets players grow crops, trade with others, customize worlds, and take part in weekly events.
The title exploded in popularity in 2025, hitting 22.3 million concurrent players in August, breaking Fortnite’s all-time peak of 15.3 million. At one point, it made up more than two-thirds of all players on Roblox.
