Red Dead Redemption is finally getting a long-awaited upgraded version on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, mobile and even Netflix… and Undead Nightmare is coming along for the ride.
On November 13, Rockstar Games, fresh off their delay of GTA 6, announced that an upgraded version of RDR would be arriving in a few weeks.
Created in collaboration with Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games, this will also mark Red Dead’s debut on Android and iOS. It will also be free for Netflix users who will be able to download the game as part of their subscription.
“All these new versions feature the complete single-player experiences of both games, and also include bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition,” Rockstar says.
The improvements include running at 60FPS, better image quality, and HDR support. The Switch 2 will also benefit from mouse controls.
For those who already own the Switch, PS4, or Xbox One versions, Rockstar is letting you upgrade for free once the game is released on December 2.
This release comes as fans are still reeling from GTA 6’s delay from May 2026 to November. Rockstar says postponing VI will give them time to finish the game players “expect and deserve.”
