Roblox has banned creator Schlep, known for confronting alleged predators on the platform, and issued a cease and desist letter accusing him of multiple violations of its Terms of Use and Community Standards.

The 22-year-old Roblox YouTuber boasts over 600,000 subscribers, and has personally claimed that his work over the past year helped lead to six arrests.

Roblox’s letter accused him of “simulated child endangerment conversations”, “sharing or soliciting personally identifiable information”, and “encouraging users to move conversations off-platform.” The company said his methods bypassed safety systems and increased risks to users.

Schlep denied wrongdoing, explaining that decoys in predator-catching investigations avoid initiating sexual talk to prevent entrapment, and said most chat logs were collected on Discord rather than Roblox. He argued that sharing personal information with police should not count as a violation.

The creator also claimed Roblox terminated every account he had owned since he was eight, including ones he used to communicate with suspects. He gave examples where Roblox allegedly failed to act on serious reports, including threats to the Las Vegas Sphere that he says were reported both to Roblox and the FBI.

In the same video, Schlep revealed he was groomed on Roblox as a child by a popular developer. He said his mother contacted Roblox at the time, but the company only offered crisis resources and did not remove the alleged predator until years later.

Fellow YouTuber JiDion, who frequently works with Schlep to catch alleged predators on Roblox, posted his own video on the ban and cease and desist letter.

Following the ban, supporters launched #BoycottRoblox and #FreeSchlep campaigns on social media, accusing the company of silencing a whistleblower.
