A long-standing GTA 6 rumor has been branded “complete nonsense” by Grand Theft Auto fans after they spotted a key detail in the new trailer.
At the start of May, Rockstar Games finally gave Grand Theft Auto fans an update on the GTA 6 release date, confirming it would be delayed until May 26, 2026.
While the delay was a blow to fans, it hasn’t been all bad news. Rockstar also dropped the long-awaited second trailer, as well as almost 100 new screenshots with character details. So, fans have been poring over the new looks at the game in the hopes of finding some secrets and hints about what is to come.
One of the big things they’ve searched for is proof about a long-standing claim that around 70% of buildings will be enterable and have unique interiors. That has been around since the first trailer back in 2023.
GTA 6 fans unconvinced by long-standing rumor about buildings
Well, a few eagle-eyed players have noticed that there is a big hint about that, as a well-populated restaurant doesn’t have a modelled inside.
“This image is really interesting because it basically proves that the whole story about 70% of interiors being enterable is complete nonsense,” Redditor m4ths_ said. “I think it’d be a waste of time for them, but I’d like enterable “main” buildings, like the ones you’re most likely to try to get in, such as hospitals and all,” another added.
“Rdr2 was exciting with just a few enterable buildings, I’m sure there will be enough to keep things interesting,” another chimed in.
Some GTA fans argued that it would “not be technically possible” given the vast size of the new map.
“5-10 percent would be immense given the scale of the map and the sheer number of buildings,” one added.
The game is still a year away from launching, so we’ll have to wait and see what Rockstar has up their sleeve.
