In truly inevitable news, the sold-out Sydney Sweeney bathwater soap is now being flogged on eBay for extortionate prices, with some listings showing a 20,000% markup.

Having risen to fame as Cassie in Euphoria, Sweeney is one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood. And now, she’s leaning into that fame (and fans’ thirst) with a tongue-in-cheek collaboration with natural soap brand Dr Squatch.

The result? Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss – a “limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater,” according to the Anyone But You star. If it sounds familiar, that’s because it is: influencer Belle Delphine went viral in 2019 when she sold vials of her own bathwater to fans online.

But where Delphine’s stunt was a viral moment in internet culture, Sweeney’s version has gone fully mainstream. When her soap dropped on June 6, 2025, it didn’t just sell out in seconds – it also crashed the Dr Squatch website.

Sydney Sweeney bathwater soap selling on eBay for up to $1,600

A total of 5,000 of the bathwater bars were sold, and it looks like many of those went to scalpers. If you missed the opportunity, you can buy the Sweeney soap on eBay… but it will cost you.

Right now, the most expensive listing is selling it for $1,600, having been marked down from its original price at $2,000. Given they originally sold for $8 a pop, that’s a whopping 19,900% increase.

As per the item description, “Item is in presale, shipping directly from Dr Squatch, will come with ultra premium luxury photo pack of Sydney Sweeney

“All photos listed at 8.5x11in with a glossy finish. These are printed with the finest quality ink and printer on the market. Also includes extra photos of Sydney Sweeney in her hit show Euphoria. The autographs are reprints.”

The other listings range from $119 to $799, and while they might seem low in comparison, those are still massive markups from the original price. Now, fans are voicing their frustration, with some calling for Sweeney to make a new batch.

On Dr Squatch’s Instagram post, one said, “Website crashed instantly and said sold out, what the hell is this? Ask her to take a bath again, I need a soap.”

Another claimed, “Congrats you just sold all of them to bots and not a single customer. Will not be buying your products anymore,” while a third added, “Bots man. Site crashed instantly at 9. Went to eBay and they’re going for up to $800.”

A fourth chimed in, “Had it in my cart, your site crashed and booted me back to the queue, then it sold out. Do better.”

Others have an altogether different view on the matter. “The amount of people having a fit over not being able to buy a woman’s bath water is insane,” wrote one.

Another commented, “Ladies… make sure you are not dating or associating with these men in the comment sections.”
