Konatsu Kato, the actress behind Silent Hill f protagonist Hinako Shimizu, has beaten the game after a months-long live-streamed playthrough.
Kato, who provided Hinako’s voice, face scan, and full motion performance, began streaming the horror title on her official YouTube channel on October 24, 2025, relieving the nightmare she helped create. Despite her streams being entirely in Japanese with no subtitles, Kato’s playthroughs drew in fans from around the world.
However, after more than two months of streaming, Kato finally rolled credits on December 31, 2025, finishing Silent Hill f on New Year’s Eve. The finale proved especially popular, drawing 846,591 views, with the broadcast stretching over four hours as she battled through Hinako’s house and fought with the first ending’s final boss.
Silent Hill f Hinako beats game on standard difficulty
Despite purchasing a PS5 just for the playthrough and being unfamiliar with games, Kato stuck with the standard difficulty throughout the run, even after a beginner mode was introduced to make the game easier.
One viewer called it “a 5+ hour endurance stream from someone who doesn’t normally play games,” adding that they hoped she would “continue to show that same guts in 2026.” Another described finishing the game together on New Year’s Eve as “the greatest way to end 2025 with a bang.”
It’s been a busy year for the 26-year-old actress. Her role as Hinako became one of the game’s biggest talking points, with Kato previously admitting the role was so intense it left her feeling like her sanity was “slipping.”
Despite this, she went on to win Best Performance at the Horror Game Awards 2025 and has now modeled for a limited edition PlayStation clothing collab.
