The Silent Hill franchise is about to get a whole lot bigger, after one of the game’s producers revealed they’re aiming for yearly releases.
There are seven main releases and over 11 spin-offs and remakes to enjoy in the Silent Hill franchise, with the most recent one being the highly acclaimed Silent Hill f, which put us in the shoes of Shimizu Hinako as she explores an extremely disturbing world.
Well, it’s been three years of Silent Hill games releasing, and according to the game’s producer, Motoi Okamoto, the games aren’t about to slow down, with regular releases planned.
Silent Hill to get yearly releases according to producer
Speaking to Famitsu, Silent Hill Producer Motoi Okamoto revealed that they are aiming to release a Silent Hill game every year.
“Continuing from the release of Silent Hill 2 (remake) in October 2024, we were able to deliver Silent Hill f in September 2025, putting the Silent Hill series back on track,” explained Okamoto, who went on to explain: “Including announced and unannounced titles, we aim to release titles at a pace of about one title per year.”
Of course, this isn’t a promise, just an aim, as he goes on to reveal: “While it remains to be seen how much we can achieve this, I will do my best as the producer of the Silent Hill series. Ideally, we’d like to see excitement for Silent Hill continue to build. We’ll do our best to provide you with new updates, so we kindly ask for your patience a little longer.”
So, it seems we’ll be diving into the twisted worlds of Silent Hill yearly. Currently, we don’t know what’s in store for 2026, as we have the Silent Hill remake and Silent Hill: Townfall as announced games with no release date, but fans can expect to see at least one of them released in 2026.
