Single’s Inferno so back, with Season 5 proving to be more drama-filled than ever before. So you can keep track of who’s liking who (and the love triangles), we’ve put together the results of all the games, challenges, and Paradise dates that have taken place so far.
The Netflix series has a simple premise: a group of singletons are sent to an island called Inferno where they have to fend for themselves. While here, they’re unable to reveal their profession or age to the other contestants.
If two contestants from the opposite sex pick each other during a couple matching, they get to spend the night at a luxury resort named Paradise. Single’s Inferno Season 5 Part 1 has just landed on Netflix and already there have been multiple match-ups.
There’s also been plenty of twists and new rules added to the games, which have shaken things up for the Season 5 cast. Below, we’ve broken down each challenge and match-up so far. Warning: spoilers ahead!
Paradise Couple Matching – Round 1
As is the case in previous seasons of the Netflix dating show, the Paradise couple matching sees contestants vote for the person they like most of the opposite sex. In the first round, the most voted for man and woman earn the right to choose their Paradise date.
Winners
- Female: Kim Min-ji, who chooses Woo Sung-min
- Male: Kim Jae-jin, who chooses Ham Ye-jin
Kim Jae-jin & Ham Ye-jin
Their date is light, playful, and filled with laughter, driven largely by Jae-jin’s sense of humor and nonchalant charm. They bond over age surprises and creative careers, but while the banter flows, Ye-jin later admits the constant back-and-forth feels tiring – ultimately, she sees the connection leaning more toward friendship than romance.
Kim Min-ji & Woo Sung-min
From the helicopter ride onward, the mood is relaxed and natural. Min-ji’s directness draws Sung-min in, and they discover shared values around humor and comfort over status. Min-ji later describes the vibe as calm and chill, suggesting their connection might be more friendly – but we all know how quickly things can change.
Likability Vote
In this challenge, contestants secretly write postcards to the person they’re most interested in. The results are as follows:
Male contestants
Female contestants
Couples Dodgeball
In this Single’s Inferno game, the rules are simple: when the game begins, each girl must stand behind her male partner. Only the guys are allowed to attack and each couple must never be separated from one another. If a couple gets completely separated or the girl is hit by a ball thrown by the opponent, that pair is eliminated.
The teams are chosen at random by selecting colored balls from a box. The last surviving couple win the game and receive the following reward: iced Americanos and watermelon. It’s later revealed that the pairs will all enjoy a one-on-one lunch date together.
Since there are seven women but only six women, the one man who draws the pink ball has to sit this challenge out. That turns out to be Lee Sung-hun.
Winning couple
- Park Hee-sun & Shin Hyeon-woo
Additional teams
- Kim Min-ji & Youn Hyun-jae
- Kim Go-eun & Woo Sung-min
- Ham Ye-jin & Song Seung-il
- Lee Joo-young & Kim Jae-jin
- Choi Mina Sue & Lim Su-been
Paradise Couple Matching – Round 2
In the second round of Paradise matching, we find out that the men voted for their pick in advance. The selected women then announce who they want to go with, and if it’s a mutual choice, they get to spend the night in Paradise together. The dates are as follows:
Kim Go-eun & Woo Sung-min
Their second date feels noticeably more intimate, with plenty of giggling, shared jokes, and growing physical closeness. Both admit the connection feels different this time, and attraction is obvious as they swim together and talk late into the night. Sung-min openly says he plans to keep pursuing Go-eun without hesitation.
Lee Joo-young & Kim Jae-jin
Joo-young feels an instant connection and they are glad to have uninterrupted time after their lunch date was cut short. Jae-jin remains playful, admitting she fits his ideal type. Their banter stays flirty and light, with mutual interest appearing to grow over the course of their date.
Choi Mina Sue & Lim Su-been
Su-beun is upfront about liking Mina Sue the most, confirming he voted for her, which makes her smile. Despite their three-year age gap, the chemistry feels natural and easy. Their swim and late-night conversations hint at a connection that could deepen as time goes on in Single’s Inferno Season 5.
Kim Min-ji & Song Seung-il
Playful from the start, they joke around easily and match each other’s energy despite a five-year age gap. Min-ji admits she’s starting to feel genuine attraction, while Seung-il confidently promises to make her feel it even more during their date.
Photoshoot Challenge
The goal of the photoshoot challenge is to capture “the hottest couple on earth”. The women draw numbered balls to decide the picking order, then take turns choosing their male partner.
Since there are more men than women, one female contestant selects two male partners. Once the photoshoot is complete, contestants vote for the best image – excluding their own.
