There have been some pretty strange brand collaborations over the years, but Smoothie King’s crossover with Heinz is certainly one of the strangest.

Ketchup is one of the most popular condiments in North America. Some people are absolutely obsessed with it, to the point where ketchup-flavored goods have caught on in a big way. Ketchup chips are a staple, especially if you live in Canada.

However, Smoothie King is taking things a step further and making a literal ketchup smoothie. It even has branding that looks just like a Heinz ketchup label.

While it’s hard to say just how good this tastes and whether or not drinking ketchup is a good idea, the drink brand is, at the very least, turning heads with this collaboration.

So, what does this smoothie actually taste like? Are they really selling straight ketchup in a glass and putting a straw in it? Not quite.

According to their press release, people who purchase the drink can expect the following:

“The HEINZ Tomato Ketchup Smoothie blends sweet Acai sorbet, crisp apple juice, juicy strawberries, and tart raspberries with the unmistakable taste of HEINZ Simply Ketchup, which is all-natural and made with red ripe tomatoes full of vitamins and antioxidants. The result? A sweet and fruity smoothie with a bright, tangy ketchup finish, perfect for HEINZ and smoothie lovers alike,” a press release explains.

A tomato is technically a fruit, so it’s not entirely out of place. However, if you aren’t a fan of ketchup, this smoothie probably isn’t for you.

Smoothie King claims months of research went into what they’re calling a “savory-sweet blend that celebrates the tomato in all its glory.”

However, this collab will only be available in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Miami, some parts of New York, and a small section of New Jersey.
