Season 6 of Solar Opposites premieres Monday, October 13 with 10 episodes on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. It’s the final season for the sci-fi adult animated comedy series that launched in 2020.
"We fully loaded this season of Solar Opposites with ridiculous alien family antics, a resolution for the nefarious Silvercops, an epic final adventure for the tiny people in The Wall, and a bunch of ROMANTASY®,” said executive producers Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel in a joint statement to IGN.
“Solar has always been an experimentation of how deep, weird, loving and funny an adult animated family show can get. This time, our biggest challenge was wrapping up six perfect seasons in a perfect way. Which we did. You're welcome."
Dan Stevens, Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, and Sean Giambrone reprise their voice roles one last time as Korvo, Terry, Jesse, and Yumyulack Opposites, respectively.
The official plot synopsis sets up the final season as follows:
“Once their alien diamond making machine gets destroyed, the Solar Opposites must face their greatest challenge yet: living their expensive lives on a budget!
When their consumerist habits and expensive hobbies are gone, only their true selves will remain... but will they like who they find? ALSO: The epic story of the people of The Wall has all built to this thrilling and shocking conclusion…”
