Sony and Honda are officially bringing PlayStation into the car, blending in-game visuals, themed audio, and console streaming directly into the Afeela 1 car.

On January 5 at CES 2026, Sony Honda Mobility revealed new PlayStation features coming to the Afeela 1, including a custom Astro Bot and Gran Turismo in-car wallpaper, themed e-motor sounds, and built-in PlayStation Remote Play support.

Drivers will be able to customize the Afeela’s digital cockpit with PlayStation-themed visuals displayed across its wide dashboard screen, with Astro Bot confirmed as one of the available options.

PlayStation collab comes to Afeela 1 car

According to the official website, the car’s artificial e-motor sound can be customized, allowing owners to match the vehicle’s audio feedback to different PlayStation themes.

The crossover with the Japanese gaming giant doesn’t stop there, as the Afeela will also support PlayStation Remote Play, allowing passengers to stream games directly from a PlayStation 5 or PS4 to the car’s infotainment system.

As with other in-car gaming features, gameplay is expected to be limited to parked situations rather than active driving.

Afeela is the first vehicle brand developed by Sony Honda Mobility, a joint collab that combines Sony’s entertainment, software, and sensor technology with Honda’s automotive engineering and manufacturing.

The Afeela 1 is currently slated to launch in 2026, with prices starting at $89,900 and pushing above $100,000 for the higher-end models.
