Sony has removed well over 1,000 games from the PlayStation Store, all of which were created by a single developer.
As spotted by Rob Thanatos on X, ThiGames, known for its shovelware titles like The Jumping Taco, had 1194 different games on the storefront, the fourth largest number of any dev. However, without any statement from either party, all of them can no longer be found.
Searching for them directly from the store doesn’t yield any results. The only clue that these games were ever available is the Trophies, which still display on players’ profiles if they own the game and unlocked any achievements.
Unless you’re a die-hard Trophy hunter, chances are you’ve never heard of ThiGames’ work. It primarily releases very simple games, many of which involving controling food and jumping around, including The Jumping Taco, The Jumping Cookie, The Jumping Muffin, and, well, you get the picture.
Thousands of games used by Trophy hunters removed from PS Store
Despite being very basic, one look at PSN Profiles or the r/Trophies subreddit shows that they’ve attracted thousands of players. This is mostly due to how easy they are to 100%, allowing dedicated hunters to add a Platinum Trophy to their profile in no time.
For example, in The Jumping Taco, you earn a Trophy every 25 jumps, with 500 required to unlock the Platinum.
The PS Store has many of these titles tucked away, from plenty of developers, not just ThiGames. But while we don’t have an official explanation for what happens, this appears to be another move from Sony to remove these kinds of games from its platform.
In early 2025, the company wiped hundreds of games suspected of using AI or recycled assets, many of which were by RandomSpin, which had released dozens of titles within a couple of years.
