South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have once again proven they’re the greatest trolls in the world, this time using Homeland Security’s tweet against them and roasting the White House in the process.
Unless you’ve been living off-grid for the past couple of weeks, you will have seen South Park Season 27 Episode 1 – or, at the very least, the explicit PSA that’s been doing the rounds.
In the premiere, Donald Trump is portrayed in the same way Saddam Hussein was, showing his cartoon form in a sexual relationship with Satan. This is followed by a satirical PSA in which a realistic (and naked) version of the POTUS receives a message from his “teeny tiny” penis.
The White House responded by saying, “This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years,” but this has only spurred Stone and Parker more. Not only will Trump and Satan be back in Episode 2, but the show’s team took shots when Homeland Security got involved.
South Park clap back at Homeland Security’s ICE tweet
In the Season 27 Episode 2 trailer, a clip shows ICE agents raiding South Park, a clear jab at the Trump-era deportation policies. The official Homeland Security X/Twitter account decided to share a screenshot from the scene, linking to the ICE website.
Rather than demand it be taken down, the South Park team seized the moment. It quote-tweeted the government post with the caption: “Wait, so we ARE relevant?”
The comeback directly mocks the White House’s earlier claim that the show is no longer relevant.
While Homeland Security’s post got 44k likes, South Park’s has 331k at the time of writing, as well as thousands of comments from fans.
“You do realize that by using your intellectual property (even if it falls under fair use), the Trump Administration is giving you permission to go even harder on them,” quipped one. “That is the rule.”
“You are the only cartoon that matters,” said another, while a third added, “Family Guy/Simpsons/whatever else will NEVER have motion like South Park, my goats.” A fourth chimed in, “Can’t wait to see how this works its way into an episode.”
South Park Season 27 Episode 2 airs at 10pm ET on August 6 on Comedy Central, before being available for streaming on Paramount Plus the following day.
