Details about the elusive Spider-Man: Brand New Day are coming in more painfully than a dripping tap, but MCU fans now have a pretty good idea what Spidey will look like… and the hint makes total sense.

Due to be released on July 31, 2026, we’ve still got no idea what to expect from the fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man movie. Rumors suggest he could team up with Daredevil against Kingpin, while the upcoming Avengers films – Doomsday and Secret Wars – will likely shape what we see too.

What we do know is that the new movie will need to address the fact that no one knows who Peter Parker is anymore. Spider-Man 4 will likely see this version of Peter Parker trying to recover his relationships with the likes of MJ and Ned.

Anything more than that is total guesswork… or at least it has been up until now. If the Marvel oracles of the internet are anything to go by, we already know how Spidey will look when he returns in Brand New Day.

Spider-Man’s final swing suit is staying put in Brand New Day

According to Alex Perez May from The Cosmic Circus, we’ll be seeing Spider-Man return in his final swing suit, seen at the end of 2021’s No Way Home.

“Peter’s broke. There won’t be that much of a change,” he added about the suit during a Discord Q&A.

MCU house artist Ryan Meinerding originally came up with the design, debuting its concept a few years before. “Spider-Man: No Way Home! This the design for the final suit, such an amazing honor to do this for Sony and Marvel,” he said in a statement at the time.

For many fans, the suit is the epitome of everything Spidey should be. One posted on Reddit, “Design wise, this is the best live action suit we’ve ever gotten. The colors, the webs, the blue parts looking like shading, the movable eyes, this is as close to perfect as it gets.”

A second weighed in, “Perfect, the only change I want to this suit is the red fat spider logo on the back,” with a third adding, “It’s nearly perfect, with the only issue I have being the back spider. Wish it was the classic round one.”

Perez May also hinted he would be hearing more updates on the new movie “soon,” alongside how much crossover fans can expect between Brand New Day and Doomsday. “I don’t think so,” he answered to the latter’s issues with story changes.

“Regardless of what happens with whether or not Spider-Man shows up in Doomsday, the overall story of Brand New Day wouldn’t be impacted because they reached a common ground that allowed them to push the story forward while still executing something new and fresh for Spider-Man that wouldn’t have been repetitive from previous installments.

“AND if he did end up appearing in Doomsday, then a simple addition to the story would enhance the story. So they’re fine story-wise.”
