Shift Up just quietly let the Stellar Blade sequel news slip in a financial chart, and it’s raising eyebrows.

Stellar Blade hit hard when it launched on PlayStation 5 in April 2024. It passed a million copies sold in just two months. It was a breakout success, especially for a brand-new IP.

But even with a PC version launching in 2025, few expected to hear “sequel” and “2026” in the same sentence. Until now.

Shift Up confirms Stellar Blade sequel in a financial report

On page 19 of Shift Up’s latest financial presentation, a tidy little bar labeled “Sequel” sat beneath the “Stellar Blade” IP, with a release window before 2027, suggesting a 2026 launch.

It wasn’t flashy. It wasn’t in bold text. But it’s there. A full-blown sequel to Stellar Blade is officially part of the roadmap.

The original game’s Complete Edition PC launch is set for June 11, 2025. It promises new features, more costumes, ultrawide support, and modern graphics tech.

Yet, it’s already in hot water. Over 120 countries can’t access the game on Steam due to Sony’s PSN region issues. If this sounds all too familiar, it’s because it’s giving “Helldivers 2” flashbacks. Shift Up says they’re working on it.

There’s also Denuvo DRM drama. Players worry it’ll hurt performance, while Shift Up swears it won’t. At least they’re offering full mod support, which is rare for a game with Denuvo.

Meanwhile, the devs are still updating Nikke, prepping Stellar Blade’s PC drop, and they’re hyping “Project Witches,” their mega-budget 2027 game that wants to out-Genshin Genshin.

As for what Stellar Blade 2 will be, we’ll have to wait. Perhaps we’ll get more Eve, or perhaps a new protagonist. Shift Up has not made any official statements yet. However, if the first game was a test of their capabilities, the sequel appears to be confirmed or in development.
