October is the best time of year to boot up a spooky game. It is the month of Halloween, after all. If you're looking for something new to play this month in celebration of the season, the good news is Amazon has quite a few deals right now on some frightfully fun options. Below you can find just a few of our favorite picks that are currently on sale. And don't worry, they're not all straight-up horror games, so there's something here for scare buffs and scaredy cats alike.

It's well worth getting, regardless of the season. I'm a big fan, but we also gave it a glowing 9/10 back when it was released.
Personally, I'm also a big fan of Killer Frequency, which is in the selection above. Set in the '80s, you play as a late-night radio host who's tasked with helping people in the local town survive the night from a killer on the loose, all through call-ins to the station. If slasher films are up your alley, particularly in the vein of Scream, you'll have a blast with it.
If you're still shopping around ahead of Halloween, Amazon's also offering discounts right now on select bags of candy. Whether you want to pick up a bag for trick-or-treaters, or just have one for yourself to snack on, you can save on a variety of bag sizes with different types of chocolate or candy inside.
